Goal:
Unite parents and concerned citizens of Connecticut to demand that their state representatives pass House Bill 5601, which would phase out lead, phthalates, and BPA from children's products. |
Why:
Currently there is no law banning toxic materials such as phthalates or BPA from children's products in Connecticut. These substances have been banned in Europe and most recently in California and Washington State. House Bill 5601 will soon be voted on in the Connecticut legislature and is being opposed by industry lobbyists from chemical and toy manufacturers (links). |
