Ban Toxic Toys Voting Bloc

Goal:

Unite parents and concerned citizens to demand that their elected officials pass laws to ban all potentially toxic substances such as phthalates from toys and children's products.

Why:

Most parents want potentially toxic substances banned from products that their children come into contact with. Laws banning these materials from children's products have been passed in Europe and most recently in California and Washington State. However, there is no federal law in the US or a law in most states that bans these potentially harmful substances from children's products. Legislation at both the state and federal levels has been strongly and successively opposed by chemical and toy manufacture lobbyists link

How:

Join this voting bloc to let your elected representatives know where you stand on the issue and what they need to do in order to earn your vote. We will keep you informed as to which candidates have earned your vote on this issue.

  • A voting bloc is a group of people who vote together in support of a specific issue or common concern.
  • Joining a voting bloc greatly strengthens your vote and your ability to influence government policy on a specific issue.
  • It also gives you the ability to stand up for an issue that you care about without having to donate your time or money.
